Make Mine Home, Inc. was started in 1999 to provide start-to-finish services to unify the process of taking an interior design or remodeling idea to final fruition. Stephanie Doerr is experienced in all aspects of these processes, to include design layout, construction, and selection of finishes, furnishings, and decorative accessories.
Some projects call for the full range of my services, while other projects may need only just a few. We are happy to work with your project at any step to help you make it “your“ home or office.

Stephanie's inspiration for remodeling and decorating began in early childhood when her family moved almost every year because of her father’s job with the Penn Central Railroad. Her mom would always make a beautiful home wherever they lived, with whatever they had. Stephanie's appreciation for real estate came from looking at several homes when moving.

After graduating UGA, Stephanie began her real estate career at age 23 with Carriage House Realty, Inc. where she achieved Million Dollar Club status at the age of 24, with 33 transactions despite high mortgage interest rates. By her 3rd year, however, she chose to spend more time with her two babies and sold real estate only part-time. Even still, she always loved studying new home construction as well as “unlocking” each home’s potential. As the children grew up, she wanted a more creative outlet than just real estate and began developing her skills as a contractor. Stephanie tends to be very “hands on” from start to finish, and designs most of the projects she takes on. Ms. Doerr is a licensed residential and light commercial contractor (GA License ___).

More recently, she formalized her design and decorating education by completing a 2 year program at the Vanguard School of Interior Design in Atlanta .
